360 CARLA Experience Milan

We are pleased to invite you to a 360 CARLA Experience hosted by Ephos, offering participants the opportunity to explore the development and manufacturing of next-generation photonic chips.

Ephos is a deep-tech startup designing and manufacturing glass-based optical chips that power AI data centers and quantum technologies. By building photonic circuits in glass rather than silicon, the company enables highly energy-efficient devices and unique three-dimensional architectures that allow advanced computing systems to scale beyond current technological limits. Through a proprietary femtosecond laser writing process, Ephos controls the entire manufacturing stack from design to fabrication.

During this 360 CARLA Experience, participants will have the opportunity to visit Ephos Fab-1, the company’s production facility located in the Milan Innovation District (MIND) and inaugurated in September 2024. The visit will provide first-hand insight into the development of integrated photonic circuits and into the daily operations of a deep-tech manufacturing environment.
