Description
Xnext is a young and rapidly growing company that has developed innovative technology for the quality control of industrial products based on multispectral X-ray analysis. Using proprietary and patented technologies, Xnext offers nondestructive quality control solutions, ensuring high accuracy in detecting contaminants and defects on the production lines of major national and international companies.
By combining the innovative multispectral imaging of its detectors with advanced and specific artificial intelligence algorithms, Xnext ensures superior performance compared to traditional inspection systems.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Design, implementation and optimization of innovative and efficient algorithms based on machine learning techniques, deep learning and custom methodologies.
- Collection, analysis and interpretation of complex and big datasets obtained from our detectors, needed for implementing the best performing algorithm for the different applications. These will then be mounted on the machines to be installed by the clients.
- Develop new algorithms to expand our proprietary libraries, applying best practices in versioning and code reuse.
- Collaboration with different functions in the company, in order to continuously improve the machine performances.
Requirements:
- Master degree or enrolled Master student almost graduated. Degrees in Engineering (Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Biomedical) or Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Astrophysics, are particularly valued.
- Excellent programming skills, particularly in Python.
- Solid statistical knowledge and ability to derive robust conclusions from data analysis.
- Theoretical knowledge and practical experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithms (in particular for features extraction from images and signals, CNN and others).
- Soft skills: analytical skills, with a methodical approach based on the scientific method; ability to work in team as well as independently; creativity, curiosity and lateral thinking skills; excellent time management.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge and skills in signal processing.
- Knowledge and experience in multispectral image processing.
- Knowledge regarding radiation-matter interaction, with a particular focus on X-rays.
- Theoretical and applied scientific research in deep learning, with participation in conferences and scientific publications considered a plus.
- Personal projects published on public repositories.
- Experience in the use of code versioning systems.
- Experience in code development in TensorFlow.
- Experience in managing and processing big data.
- Expertise in optimizing code on GPUs or embedded devices.
Working conditions:
- Working language is Italian, English needed in some occasions
- Salary: competitive, evaluated on the basis of the actual experience gained so far
