360 CARLA Training Joensuu
We are delighted to invite you to the upcoming hands-on training on Spectral Imaging for Medical and Health Applications, taking place at the University of Eastern Finland, Joensuu.
When: October 9th, 2025 | 09:00 – 15:30 (Finnish Time)
Where: Computational Spectral Imaging Lab, University of Eastern Finland, Joensuu
Registrations: via this link by September 30th. The event is free, but spots are limited and allocated based on motivation.
*Lunch and refreshments will be provided to participants.
This 1-day interactive training offers a deep dive into the fundamentals and applications of spectral imaging, with a special focus on dental use cases. Participants will take part in lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on coding sessions.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Understand the basic principles of spectral imaging and spectroscopy.
- Learn the operation principles of spectral cameras and explore their applications through live demos.
- Work with spectral datasets and gain practical coding skills in Python for preprocessing and analysis.
- Apply the methods to a biomedical case study: processing dental spectral images to visualize veins and arteries in the oral cavity.
- Explore how spectral imaging can be applied across medicine, biology, industry, agriculture, and the arts.
