360 CARLA Experience Barcelona

ICFO and Institut d’Investigació i Innovació Parc Taulí (I3PT) are delighted to invite you to the upcoming 360 CARLA Experience about Optical technologies and bedside microcirculation monitoring.

When: 26 March 2026

Where: Institut d’Investigació i Innovació Parc Taulí, Plaça Torre de l’Aigua, s/n, Sabadell, Barcelona (Spain).

Registrations: via this link by February 1st. The event is free of charge, but spots are limited and allocated based on motivation.

During the visit, participants will spend the day with the Hemodynamics Research Team, engaging with Intensive Care experts experienced in bedside microcirculation monitoring. The day begins with an introductory briefing at the Research Institute, followed by a hands-on demonstration in the ICU. Depending on patient availability, participants may observe assessments of critically ill patients enrolled in ongoing studies, including evaluations of endothelial function in sepsis and hemodynamic responses during cardiovascular challenges and resuscitation. Throughout the visit, participants will learn about bedside monitoring of microcirculatory status using non-invasive optical technologies, particularly near-infrared spectroscopy and diffuse correlation spectroscopy.
