About: This one-day workshop will offer a professional introduction to Microscopy imaging, image data processing and analysis, consisting of lectures followed by hands-on sessions. Participants will gain practical experience on how to acquire and process images using key tools for quantitative image analysis and will become familiar with the implementation of artificial intelligence methods for automated data processing and interpretation. On-site, it will be possible to try out the cutting-edge Axioscan 7 scanning microscope system for automatic digitisation of microscopic samples and measure your own samples. The afternoon program will also include a discussion of your own data and selected problems of our participants. The hands-on sessions will be based on open-source platforms (such as ImageJ/Fiji) and Zeiss solutions.
