360 CARLA Training Milan
We are excited to invite you to this 360 CARLA Training focused on lighting design and verification tools, aimed at exploring how photonics and digital solutions support the creation of efficient and compliant lighting projects. This training is ideal for students and early-career professionals interested in lighting design, architecture, and photonics applications in the built environment.
When: 20 April, 2026 | 14:15 – 19:30
Where: Politecnico di Milano, Campus Durando, Classroom B2.1.15
Registration: via this link by April 15th.
Designing effective lighting requires balancing multiple parameters while ensuring compliance with technical standards such as illuminance, uniformity, glare control, and energy performance. In this context, lighting verification software plays a key role in supporting informed design decisions.
During this seminar, participants will be introduced to DIALux, a widely used lighting verification software. The session will present its interface and main functionalities, showing how it can be used to evaluate lighting performance, optimise system design, and ensure compliance with standards.
The training will be led by Prof. Andrea Siniscalco (Politecnico di Milano), who brings extensive expertise in the use and teaching of lighting verification tools.
The session will conclude with an aperitivo, offering participants the opportunity to network with peers, the speaker, and organisers.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Understand the key principles of lighting design and verification
- Learn how to use DIALux for evaluating lighting performance
- Explore how technical requirements translate into real design choices
- Connect with experts and peers in an informal networking setting
