360 CARLA Training Paris

From December 15 to December 18, 2025, Institut d’Optique Graduate School (IOGS) will host a 360 CARLA Training in the framework of the 5th edition of its yearly Quantum Week.

This event aims at offering conceptual and technological insights in the field of photonic quantum technologies. The event is supervised and chaired by Benjamin Vest, Associate Professor of Optics at IOGS, and is composed of a series of tutorials and lectures and on-site visits of startup companies and quantum photonics labs.

When: 15 – 18 December, 2025.

Where: Institut d’Optique Graduate School. 2 Avenue Augustin Fresnel, Palaiseau (France)

Registration: Due to limited space for the on-site visits, the number of participants is limited to 15 people only. Students can apply online via this link, providing a brief motivation statement about their interest in attending. They will be contacted shortly after the closing of submission, December 8th at the latest, to be informed whether their application has been successful.

Target Audience: The event is designed for MSc students and university graduates with background In optics and photonics with a strong interest in quantum technologies.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Attend several tutorial on the main concepts at the core of the second quantum revolution : quantum entanglement, and the manipulation of single quantum objects.
  • Discover real-life applications of these concepts in the context of cold atom interferometry, quantum memories and quantum computing.
  • Discuss career path and opportunities in the field if quantum science via on-site discussions with engineers, scientists and PhD students

The activity is conducted in English. Participants are expected to join the various locations of the visits using their own means of transportation.
