CARLA at ESOF2022

On 13-16 July, the CARLA project attended ESOF2022 in Leiden, Netherlands.

This 10th edition of the EuroScience Open Forum focused on Crossing Borders, Engaged Science, Resilient Societies and brought together stakeholders of science and society from all over the world to discuss and collaborate on innovative ideas and solutions to the pressing challenges that humanity is facing.

The exciting 4-days program was organised in seven different tracks:

  1. Sustainable Environment
  2. Cultural Identities & Societal Transformations
  3. Space for Science
  4. Healthy Societies
  5. Freedom and Responsibility of Science
  6. Science and Business
  7. Sustainable Academic Careers

CARLA was invited to present a poster within the “Sustainable Academic Careers” session, which pooled together projects and actions that aim to rethink the academic system and discover new, sustainable career paths that promote inclusivity and diversity.

The project was welcomed with lots of enthusiasm by the attendees of the poster session and many connections were established during the conference. We hope that these new links will lead to potential collaborations and replication of the CARLA model in the future.
