360 CARLA Experience Oulu: Hosting Photonics Talent at Detection Technology

Photonics Finland organized a visit for photonics students to Detection Technology on April 15th, 2026. During the visit, DT introduced participants to different career paths in the company, while also showcasing the manufacturing operations, X-ray test facilities, and Customer Experience Center. The session provided a comprehensive view of how photonics expertise translates into real-world industrial applications.

A key highlight of the day was the engaging discussion around career journeys in photonics. It was particularly valuable to explore how diverse educational and professional backgrounds can lead into the industry, and how versatile and dynamic careers in this field can be. Both academia and industry play a crucial role in advancing innovation and developing technologies that benefit society, and collaboration between them is essential.
