The Photonics Career Hub

The CARLA programs were born as a result of the growing need by the photonics ecosystem to attract more and diverse talent to sustain the growth that the field is experiencing. These programs are conceived to encourage the university students and early career researchers to pursue careers in photonics and to better prepare them for that.

In this framework the CARLA and 360 CARLA projects were born.

About CARLA

The first CARLA project, born in 2020 in the framework of the EU Horizon 2020, set the bases of the overall CARLA programs with the design and testing of the CARLA camps, the photonics career symposiums. Since then, more than 20 events were organized with the participation of over 1,500 students and researchers across Europe.
